The next project I am undertaking is a new SolidWorks tool to automatically create drawings for you to a very advanced level. The new forum post is here .

How advanced of a level? Drawings from scratch?

From scratch yes. And as for advanced; the views and layouts will be more accurate than human methods and just as flexible. The difficult part will be the annotations, but as of yet I cannot say until I start getting more into it. Will be a good challenge and will need a lot of input and feedback from you guys.

This may become it’s own business. Let me know if you’d like to build a team, seriously.

In the meantime, General notes can follow CommonNotes over at lennyworks, expect with better management for insertion and modification. Rev blocks can follow RevBlockControl by yours truly. As far as the views themselves, this sounds extremely ambishish.
