Exactly; the banks give you access to the money as soon as 3 days after, and some now even offer instant cash! On top of that you can even ask your bank manager how long at maximum delay will it take for a cheque to clear/bounce, and they will tell you 6 days, which is a total lie.

The fact is you can actually sue your bank manager for telling you that information if you get scammed after that.

Thanks for your reply i find it amazing that the bank allows someone to withdraw the cash before it clears, i have had a cheque bounced in my account but it never appeared on my availible balance. So what your saying is a fake Cheque will be sent to another country from my bank, and with the new 2-4-6 rule anybody can withdraw after 4 days even if the cheque hasnt arrived back bounced?

They do not clear, what happens is the bank simply allows you access to the money _before_ it is actually cleared so you can draw it from your bank, then once it bounces it all gets taken back out of your account.

The cheques don't come from anywhere specific, I can print you one myself that will give you access to the money and then bounce in 10 days. All a cheque is used for is scanning the numerical codes at the bottom of the paper when it is read into the banking computers, so all you have to do is print anything that looks like a cheque, with the correct set of numbers at the bottom of the paper that will be scanned. Without giving too much information away to people interested in fraud themselves the numbers basically represent the country, province, location, bank, account and ID with a few others. If you put the correct number sequence in you can get a cheque to bounce around as many as 5 countries before being cleared/bounced.

This may become it's own business. Let me know if you'd like to build a team, seriously.

In the meantime, General notes can follow CommonNotes over at lennyworks, expect with better management for insertion and modification. Rev blocks can follow RevBlockControl by yours truly. As far as the views themselves, this sounds extremely ambishish.

From scratch yes. And as for advanced; the views and layouts will be more accurate than human methods and just as flexible. The difficult part will be the annotations, but as of yet I cannot say until I start getting more into it. Will be a good challenge and will need a lot of input and feedback from you guys.

A couple of UI suggestions: 1) while the tool is searching I would disable the search button, and 2) give feedback to the user the number of instances found. (Not a MessgageBox, maybe a StatusLabel.)

Just my 2 cents. Good job.
